Lupin III: Part II 88 In which Lupin tries to win the Nobel Prize by moving the South Pole's penguin population to the North Pole...yeah! So let's see, in this one episode we got: Goemon cutting a mountain in half, a group of penguins + Lupin clapping for him, this: penguins marching to Ode to Joy, Lupin and Fujiko stumbling passed a perfectly preserved woolly mammoth, and Zenigata wearing magic boots that possessed him into following/becoming Mussolini. Were...were the writers high? XD Silly doesn't do it justice. But hey, if nothing else I now wanna watch Shirokuma Cafe. XD

Lupin III: Part II 89 In which Lupin takes on the most impenetrable safe. Mixed feelings here. Loved the motorcycle chase with the english insert song. But I can't deny Lupin seemed especially douchey in this one. Directly responsible for all the dead guards when those cars blew up, and one dead tiger. Plus, although they show it taking him months to crack the safe the actual operation felt like it went too smoothly, until the tiger end anyway. If they intentionally left all the codes the same from Lupin's earlier infiltration I hoped for a better trap than Zenigata given how weak and pathetic they made him here. Moreso than usual even. Oh well, the classical music runner was nice and in line with previous outings. Fujiko only briefly appeared in this one, but she was drawn especially beautiful here: The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. 63

Lupin III: Part II 90 In which Lupin travels to Harlem and interacts with Chico, a local boy. If I'm not mistaken Chico was voiced by Masako Nozawa, Goku's Japanese voice actress. So we get Lupin and crew seeing the first Christopher Reeves Superman and humorously enough they all hate it except Lupin. Wonder how he liked the sequels. XD Funny how this was the second consecutive episode with a motorcycle chase set to the same insert song. It was fun seeing Lupin dressed as Superman, plus all the other superhero parodies...and Mickey Mouse for some reason. XD The way Lupin dodged all those bullets and used them to break free was certainly very superhero-esque. XD Twin Star Exorcists 25 The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. 64

Lupin III: Part II 91 In which Lupin aids Ianne, a mysterious amnesiac girl. Another straight-up action adventure episode. Reminded me of Indiana Jones a bit. Can't help but think the plot points for this one could have been extended and made a pretty good full length feature. The end with the rainbow and Lupin's reflection on Ianne was pretty touching.

I'll really miss watching this show. Loved it so much. At least season 3 will start soon. Only one show from last season left to watch.

Lupin III: Part II 93 In which Lupin gets drugged into becoming a Confucius-esque saint, opposed to money and women! Yeah, as humorous as it was seeing him swatting at Fujiko with a broom, I figured he was faking all along. By the time it was revealed it really was the only solution that would have worked. Poor Zenigata though, becoming a cat. XD Well at least Lupin changed him back at the end unlike when he became a zombie. XD The ending chase on the Great Wall of China must have exceeded the budget, there were noticeable still shots despite it being a chase! XD Regalia: The Three Sacred Stars 5

Lupin III: Part II 94 In which Lupin faces Superman! Okay so...is Superman a real person in the Lupinverse? Cause even though the one Lupin faced was phony the citizens react throughout the episode as if it's normal to see him. Well seeing the other Lupin characters in the getup was fun. Lupin and Zenigata were funny enough, but Fujiko at the end legit surprised me and gave me a good laugh. Speaking of, I'm not entirely sure what her plan that Lupin ruined was. The phony Superman always returned the stolen money right? So what did she get out of this, aside from helping a random store? Regardless, Lupin's bra stealing game remained as impressive as ever: Incidentally, Zenigata's throw away line about American police being too quick to shoot people rings sadly true nearly 40 years later. Lupin III: Part II 95 In which Lupin tackles the Bermuda Triangle and Stonehenge. Another action adventure outing involving Lupin helping a new girl that easily could have been a full length film. This one definitely needed more time too, the ending was insanely rushed and had no real sense of closure. So the ending itself was a fairly direct Close Encounters of the Third Kind homage. First Superman, now aliens. XD

Alderamin on the Sky 13(END) Final Thoughts: Oh thank sweet merciful Christ that evil fuck Safida was executed. It certainly softens the blow of how I hated their reason for fighting, which really soured this arc for me. That cloud hung over every episode after the Ikta/Yatori flashback episode. I was actually rooting for Jean by the end because of it. Anyway, still a pretty strong series either way. Glad I watched it even after putting the manga on indefinite hold. That end tease of future events is certainly very interesting. Losing a war the correct way? Something about that princess bugs me...well anyway, I'll definitely watch season 2 if it comes. 8/10

And with that, all of my Summer anime have ended. Except those few continuing like Saiki, and Regalia but that's a special case. The following is my ratings and rankings for them: 1.) Amaama to Inazuma - 9/10 2.) Food Wars! The Second Plate - 8/10 3.) New Game! - 8/10 4.) Amanchu! - 8/10 5.) This Art Club Has A Problem! - 8/10 6.) Time Travel Girl - 8/10 7.) Bananya - 8/10 8.) Alderamin on the Sky - 8/10 9.) The Heroic Legend of Arslan: Dust Storm Dance - 7/10 10.) The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of Holy War - 7/10* 11.) Masou Gakuen HxH - 7/10 12.) Handa-kun - 7/10 13.) Orange - 6/10 14.) ReLIFE - 6/10 15.) Rewrite - 6/10 16.) First Love Monster - 5/10 17.) SERVAMP - 5/10 18.) Qualidea Code - DROPPED, 5/10** 19.) Ange Vierge - DROPPED, 5/10 20.) Taboo Tatoo - DROPPED, 5/10
*Final episode still not fansubbed, but I included it due to uncertainty on that getting released anytime soon along with an educated guess based on my familiarity with the source material. **About Qualidea Code: When I dropped it, I said it was tentative because I had a gut feeling Canaria might still be alive. Sure enough, 4 or so episodes later this is revealed to be true. Now I found this out via MAL discussion boards and watched some bits of these episodes here and there. Reading how the series ultimately turns out if I'm being honest I could see myself scoring it a point higher, maybe 2. It's just, quite frankly, that would require me to watch the rest and I'm a lazy bastard. So that ain't happening anytime soon, if ever. A bit unfair to it, but oh well. I'll move it from my dropped pile to my hold pile anyway. I'm looking forward to the Fall shows now. They should begin today or tomorrow.

Lupin III: Part II 96 In which Lupin is nearly eaten! Well I can certainly appreciate a villain who likes to eat people. XD Fujiko betraying Lupin yet again was annoying, but by the end she was helping to rescue him so...a wash? Seeing the fattened up Lupin was fun since we never really see him like that, and the jewels being in the dentures was clever. That end was quite the chaotic, messy production, complete with a Three Stooges-esque pie fight. I'd ask what became of Zenigata but...does it really even matter? XD

Yeah I considered remaking the Fall Thread here, but felt it was a bit too late and wouldn't get much response. I'll definitely post a Winter thread when the time comes, assuming no one else does first.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of Holy War 4(END) Final Thoughts: Well as expected Gowther made this the weakest of the 4 episodes for me. More specifically his foreshadowed future actions. I've noticed they're trying to group him and Merlin together as the "darker" sins but whereas it adds to her badassery and level of mystique he just comes across as a total scumbag. Well regardless I loved the Diane x King episode, though it too is somewhat hampered by my knowledge of future events. The other two were alright, 7/10. And now the wait for season 2...
