P.J. O'Rourke once said "Always read something that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it."More often than not, this seems to be the case when somebody posts a "What are you reading" thread; it sounds like everybody reads with grim dedication only books that are thought provoking and intellectually worthy. This is a thread for guilty pleasures - the books you don't tell people that your're reading because they're so fluffy and frivolous that you don't want people to know. So 'fess up - what 's your current guilty pleasure?
Right now I'm reading Forever Amber, by Kathleen Winsor. It's about a country girl who goes to London during the Restoration in England, and whose adventures run the gamut from debtors' prison to the courts of Whitehall. Forget that it's one of the best-researched historical novels ever written, and indulge in the fact that this is probably the book that started the whole bodice-ripper genre. Total unredeemable trash, and I love it.

Right now, it's the 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch' novel series from back in the 90's. I'm giving them to the eldest niecelette and decided to read them one last time just for the hell of it.
