Even so, I'm expecting a premiere of the Kai Buu dub before anything happens with Toonami and Super. If anything happens between Toonami and Super.

The question is: would they dare to do something crazy like double up on Kai Buu Saga just to get to Super faster if they DID acquire it? Maybe because I want them to finish Kai Buu Saga first, if they can even get THAT, it would be best if Super didn't go directly to Toonami, but rather to CN first with a dual-agreement with both companies a la Star Wars: The Clone Wars?
If it DID come to Toonami, the [as] encore would probably be back, right?

Action cartoons are on stuff like Netflix, and western action cartoons are dead with a capital D. When we have Ghost Rider and The Flash in live action, why watch a cartoon?

I would prefer Super not start on Toonami but it's inevitable it will end up there. The press release doesn't mention FUNimation has the TV rights which makes me think TOEI is gonna call the shots there and this is what how I see things panning out. 1) Dragon Ball Super airs on Disney XD, Nicktoons or by slim slim slim chance Cartoon Network (probably at 6AM) 2)  ? 3) PROFIT 4) Children's network gets bored of it after 52 episodes or less 5) Toonami picks up the pieces But best case scenario it airs at a decent time on a children's network and causes a resurgence of sorts for anime on US television. It's peculiar that FUNimation, TOEI and Toonami are still not saying anything about the Buu saga airing or not. Now there's an alternative but if Toonami is going to keep milking DBZ for all it's worth they shouldn't just skip the Buu saga of Kai. They could feasibly have Super ready to start in January. If Toonami can have 11:30 or even 11pm then I'm all for a double shot of Buu Saga in order to start Super this Summer. |

So it's finally getting a dub. I'd rather have them air the Buu Saga first if they can. That one may still be in limbo, I don't know. Super airing so kids could watch it would be cool. We'll see. Of course, there's nothing stopping them from running both concurrently, like they used to do with DBZ and Dragonball. Either way, the first part of DBZ Kai is ending soon so we'll find out what's going on with the Toonami end of things soon enough.

Toei's gonna try to air it on a kids network. The kids networks will tell them to fuck off. Then it will air on Toonami where it will continue Dragon Ball's Family Guy esque presence.

God I hope this doesn't air on Toonami. DBZ Kai Buu I can take because I loved the Buu Saga, but not Super. Preferably after Buu Saga Toonami would just be done with Dragon Ball and it would never air on the block again.
But I know better. I know this is coming. And I don't like it.

I hear good things about the current arc of Super though. I'm not a fan so far. I don't watch it personally but my roommate watches it every Sunday and I'm always in the room when he does. It just doesn't really interest me that much. |

Eh... having seen all 64 episodes subbed, I don't really care anymore. I've gotten used to the Japanese voices now. I'll still watch it as a recap, but they kind of killed my excitement with how long it took.

Some guys at work have been talking about Super for months, trying to get me to watch it, but I'm patient enough to wait for a dub. I've tried to get them to check out One Punch Man, putting emphasis on it being utterly hilarious and short, but to my knowledge, they've not tried it yet.

I have little interest in Super honestly, but if it airs...what the hell.
I do hope that if it ends up on Toonami that they skip the first 20-something episodes and play Battle Of Gods and Resurrection F instead. If it ends up on CN? Movies first are still the preferable route, but if the must air the beginning sagas of the show (I only saw the first 3 episodes and it was ridiculously dragged out and kiddy-fied), CN's the place to do it.
