I'm sorry but does anyone else think that ending was rushed and crappy? it's like nobody really found the happiness they were looking for...they just went back to being the way they were before...alone

Guess we've seen the end, now that we saw her as an older teen. Well, I guess Toonami deserves this for bringing anime movies back.

What the heck? The ark turned into some freaky creature with a ton of eyes!
It wants a human vessel. Of course bringing someone back to life would end up being a Devil's bargain.
Morisaki you bastard.
Asuna was in the afterlife with Mimi and Shun. T__T
She's back... and now Morisaki is blind and got his music box broken. Got off too easy if you ask me.
And it ends just like that. Wait, there's some epilogue. They go back home. Asuna is back with her mom.
WHOO! That was rough. Very emotional! But that was a neat world they created. Good movie.
I wonder if Shinkai has experienced great loss in his life.
There's the LATER...

Major night owl here. As are a good deal of us who watch Adult Swim and Toonami. I've been getting up rather early lately, though, so I'm barely making it right now, haha. this was the worst time to put on a movie...i would have been in bed by now normally but I've been toughing it out and might even tough it out longer to play some overwatch ugh They only aired it because of Daylight Savings Time and getting a great deal from Sentai. Movies were verbatim before this due to the fiasco that happened with the Second Month of Movies, so we were lucky they were able to play it at all. This was a bonus surprise, and could maybe serve as testing the waters for more movies, hopefully in better timeslots, if this done did well enough for where it aired.

Not bad, but the last encounter and ending was over quite quickly.

I'm sorry but does anyone else think that ending was rushed and crappy? it's like nobody really found the happiness they were looking for...they just went back to being the way they were before...alone I'd say they learned to deal with their loss and appreciate what they have. You can't bring the dead back. It's a fool's errand, as we saw. And while you should never forget them you still have to live your life. Asuna has her mother at least and I'm sure she can make some friends at school.

Sometimes the rhythm is hard to analyze the first time around.

Alright, I think we all are yearning for those soft pillows of ours, and our blankets' comfortable embraces. We should all sleep well this morning/day. We saw a quality anime. It'll rest the soul, even if the body stays tired.

TV has that communal feel to it that u cant get anywhere else. Guess thats what growing up in the 80s does to ya.
