There's nothing wrong with going solo. You really can't jam with other people if you're not comfortable with yourself. I've had a few other musicians call me egotistical, but it's just a personal thing for me and they don't realize how they've invaded that sacred space by demanding the chance to ride my coattails.

Music is the one thing that gets rid of my discomfort around humans. Every time I play with other people, it just amazes me. Its like, this is happening. This music is coming from me and other people.
I dont get nearly the same joy and catharsis from just seeing a live band.

When it's chill, playing with other people really is something else... that sense of being a small part of something bigger without feeling small. Like the song is a living thing unto itself and we are just vehicles for it's spirit.
