The ethics of this are troubling, in terms of being able to select traits to breed in or out, but I think the technology can be of tremendous help in reducing or even eliminating harmful genetic disorders or diseases.
Certainly the use of this kind of technology demands careful consideration, but I think it can offer hope to people who otherwise would be almost certain to have children who would have crippling or even fatal diseases,
in that regard I think the positives outweigh the negatives.
