This will be my first time checking out Bill Hicks, my dad and a few others that really enjoy stand up have suggested him and cited him as an inspiration.
I feel like kind of suck for not checking it out sooner and I'm not even a full minute in.
Okay finished it. Good clip.
The whole Bill Hicks and drugs thing kind of reminded me of another comedian that went lights out too soon:

Just finished catching up on the last 2 episodes of South Park.
Then I've been watching X-Files from the start. I watched X-Files occasionally in later seasons when it was still on air, but that's it so I decided to try checking it out and really enjoying season one.

Figured a thread just based on favorite chunks of comedy gold might end being an overall fun experience. Yes, I have a similar thread in the music folder for comedy musicians(yes I eat, breathe, and occasionally poop comedy).

Killa.Ounze I see you mentioned Unknown Hinson in your op. I'm a big fan of his music, have all of his stuff. He is quite talented. ON most of his albums he plays all instruments and does all of the vocals. He's also a super nice guy. I filmed one of his shows a few years ago, it was excellent. They played two sets and it was almost 2 1/2 hrs of music. I authored a very nice two dvd set of the show and made it available over at dimeadozen (a place to legally trade and share ROIO's (recordings of independent origin). I think it is still on the tracker over there. Here's a sample from the show that night. (there are a couple of more on my youtubes). Killer live perfomance. I do love that CD, so many awesome songs, and honestly the first one I listened to. Easily my favorite off of it:

I really enjoy a lot of Jon's songs. They are well written and executed, in addition to being pretty fucking funny. Ha, I did not realize you shared a video from him already This song reminds me of this: THIS VIDEO MAY OFFEND SOME. IF YOU ARE OFFENDED EASILY DO NOT HIT PLAY!!! Maybe it's the release time. I was always in between. I always thought it was weird with accusations, and even weirder when they found the closet with little boy dolls in all kinds of incriminating outfits. Like when he died I told all kinds of people about the Las Vegas deal he really wanted right before, but he was denied and most people were behind it, a lot of which petitioned it and mocked him. Weeks later people were like such a loss... just one of those weird times to watch the world react to something like Trump and just defy all reason and rationality so many of us hold dear. I say it's messed up and always have, but his music did revolutionize rap, pop, and alternative all at the same time long before anyone knew he might be fucked.

Cracked Out. Brett Gelman and Jon Daly. Those guys are both very funny and their music is too. I still listen to the album this track is from (2008 release). THIS VIDEO MAY OFFEND SOME. IF YOU ARE OFFENED EASILY DO NOT HIT PLAY!!! Those guys definitely got skills. But if we slow shit down, and the skills and the beat... THIS VIDEO MAY OFFEND SOME. IF YOU ARE OFFENED EASILY DO NOT HIT PLAY!!!

I was trying to find out about the new special(s) but some sad news to report.
I was wondering what happened to the angle with Phil(Philadelphia Phil Collins) and his kids, but he passed on in 2013. Same reason Shitty Bill(Brian Huggins) hasn't been in a scene in a couple seasons.

@miss Fortune: Season 9 was pretty much a coherent story stretched out through the whole season. Tweak and Craig I think was basically the only borderline filler episode.
I started watching right around the time season 5 aired, and although I was late to the party I have been a fan for about 16 years, and I love the direction the show has went as well. and yeah he only got kissed by Wendy and that was years ago lmao

Hell yeah it did. I have been thinking about giving the show another try. So far I've tried twice, but by the end of the Pilot I am kind of like Meh. I'm going to watch a few more episodes next time.
I love H Jon Benjamin in a mostly heterosexual way >.>
But seriously, I do enjoy almost everything he's acted or voiced in. Big fan of the guy, and a lot of people have said good things about this show. I want to like it.

Central Intelligence 9/10I think my favorite comedy so far starring The Rock. I don't usually like Kevin Hart to be honest but I did enjoy this movie, a few laughs, and a twist or two all and all it was pretty good fun. Some of Johnsons action moves were over the top on occasion but forgivable in a movie like this.

Edit: Just wanted to explain that Blazing Saddle's score is correct. It's score went from 6 to 4 after one post, so I was just correcting it.
Really sorry about that, don't know how I misread it.

blueraven1999 : Still my favorite I think. However I think they did well casting possibly a future catwoman. Interesting twist on Bruce's and Selena's relationship with their lives being that intertwined so early.

I'm only 5 episodes ahead of you then in Gotham I'm glad the shows seems to be sticking, I'm digging it. I really like this adaptation of the penguin too so far, it's original and refreshing, and I can't help but kind of be behind him a bit.

I think ima drop Colbert. It's getting pretty same/same. And the changes they are making seem to be more gratingly mainstream than creative. I dropped the Daily Show as well. I think Conan and @midnight should be enough for me for a mainstreamy talkshowy comedy fix. One of the last episodes I seen he had brought back "the word" as "the werd" and I was happy to see him fight for his creative rights by using his segment. However, we got some kittens. One chewed my antenna chord, and I don't have dish or cable atm so not a whole lot of options to keep up on the show. Although CBS.com has gotten a little better but meh.

Never heard of him before but i am watching his special "As Is" filmed at the acme comedy club and it's been pretty awesome. I have laughed a lot but he is a little touchy about ohs and boos like Maher for example and he is going on about kids a bit but all and all it's been an awesome show.
I am definitely going to look more into him.
Found it on "Stand Up!" streaming channel on my roku tv.
They also have a Chris Porters special i havent seen.
