$600 give or take. Ordering parts one by one. Nothing fancy. What do you think?

No reason to not go for pascal now. A gtx1060 is only like $50 more but will take you a hell of a lot farther.
500 should be plenty for a psu nowadays I think.
If you don't want to spring for an SSD (even a small one for just the OS will make your pc a lot faster) you should at least go hybrid, they'll give you a pretty good boost too and don't cost much more than standard hdds. Seagate Firecuda is the newest and most recommended one.
But if you absolutely have to keep the budget to a minimum for now at least spring for the 1060. Pascal gpus were a huge leap. Cannot emphasize that enough. And actually the 1050 comes out soon so if you have to, at least wait for that.
First post hello

First post hello From what my buddy told me, and im not a pc guru, that video card can do two monitors at 1080/60. Which is exactly what i want. He did ask if i wanted to update to a card that can run 4k, but fuck, 4k monitors cost as much as this whole pc im building, lol.

It doesn't really matter what resolution you plan on using, a lot of people use high end cards on 1080p monitors just for better frame rates. Always get the best you can afford, and you can at least afford a 1050ti. But I do highly suggest you try to get a little more money for the 1060.

yeah thats pretty much what i say too. the only thing i would add is to get the latest gen card you can get unless a previous gen one goes for much much cheaper.
and yeah a gtx1060 would be best for his build here.
