Two pitching duels in a row for the Giants, but they lost this time. Wednesday, not one run until the top of the ninth inning, tonight, not one run until the bottom of the eighth. Why the fuck did Cueto have not one but TWO at bats were he was bunting with NO BODY ON BASE? I thought maybe he's trying to bunt for a hit, but when he bunted the ball in play, he ran like he was sacrificing. IE, not at all. The fuck? I know you're a bad hitter Johnny, but what exactly were you trying to accomplish in those at-bats?

#EvenYear #GOCUBS! If the Giants don't win it all, I wouldn't be opposed to the Cubs doing so.

But anyways, I got to hand it to Syndergaard, he threw a gem. And of course, Bum was Bum.

Meanwhile the Blue Jays won in walk of fashion Now they play the Rangers in what's definitely gonna be the must watch series of the nlds just based on the pas year with these two teams I think I'm pulling for the Jays in this series. I have a lot of respect for Troy Tulowitsky, and would like to see him win it all.

ESPN is showing they are heavily biased towards the Giants.... I was watching the AL wild card game on TBS tonight and there was a commercial for the NL wild card game on ESPN tomorrow, and it was like a slide show of Giants players' making plays in the last few even years' playoffs. Then it said "2016 repeat?" Then it displayed the info about Giants vs Mets tomorrow on ESPN. Other than at the end displaying the info of the game, the entire rest of the commercial didn't even acknowledge the Mets' existence.

Their 9th inning meltdowns never cease to amaze me. Just when I think they hit rock bottom, someone hands them a shovel. Do you just want to make a general baseball discussion thread? If so I'll let you do the honors good sir. I need some place to talk about my Cubs. You can make it.

well they made the wild card spot now they face the Mets they can still make the playoffs and win the WS imagine if they do but this year some tough competition The difference between this year, and the previous even years, is that this year, they started out with a bang, then tanked, and limped to the Playoffs, while the other years, they didn't start off so good, then surged at the end and rode that wave to and through the world series. The GIants did just have a good series against the Dodgers to end the regular season (did the Giants sweep them? I can't remember), so maybe that'll be the spark they need.

Giants rookie pitcher Ty Blach outdueled Dodgers' 3 time Cy Young award winner Clayton Kershaw for a 3-0 win today. Fuck yeah!
Kershaw went 7 innings giving up 1 earned run (3 runs total), and Ty Blach went 8 shutout innings.
The game was tied at 0-0 going into the fifth inning, then Giants left-fielder Angel Pagan hit a solo homerun. Then in the 7th inning, Giants scored two more unearned runs on Kershaw.
This was Ty Blach's second ever start in the big leagues, and his fourth game total. By the way, he also got not just his first, but his first TWO MLB hits today, both off of Kershaw.
The Giants are now up by one game over the Cardinals for the second wild card spot with one game to go.

You know we have a folder for cartoons, right? I almost missed this thread.
Anyway, I wonder what Adam Reed will do next.

Luck. Former MLB pitcher Mike Krukow says on those types of plays the pitcher reacts without thinking.

lol they are done well not yet but man they played so terrible since the All Star break i really thought they would win the division again, why they took out bumgarner when he was pitching so good is beyond me In the post game show they were speculating that because of the little tiff between Bumgarner and Puig, that Bum could've been the target of a bean ball.

Here's one that made me want to incorporate flute synths in my own music (as well as timpani drums but I haven't figured that one out yet).

This one led me to discover the genre of folk metal. I asked on a metal forum for music that featured flutes like in this song:
And folk metal bands is what most people recommended.

When I first got into the show, it was pretty much just the kids that made the show for me, but I've grown quite fond of Bob, Teddy, and Mr. Fischoeder too.

I'd be willing to bet this is the single most epic piece of music on an NES game ever. NG2 That's good but it has some competition. Good stuff there.

In these post-Simpsons days, it's so often that in cartoons, the father is some crazy off the wall character and the mother is the more reasonable one, but Bob's Burgers turns the tables. Linda is the crazy one, and Bob tends to be much more level headed. Though he does blow his stack occasionally.

Adding "Regular size" to his name cracks me up. I wonder if we'll ever get to see Pocket-size Rudy.
