With the help of the improved backdoor schedule, I was able to get dibs on November 26th's tentative lineup (with the finale of Intruder III), and... it looks normal. Here is the raw XML file, if you want it. So this is pretty unexpected. I guess the Parasyte marathon from last year did so well that they decided to remove the handicap and play the weekend normally. Though maybe Thanksgiving being a bit earlier this year is involved in that.

I swear to god Alchemist, if you ask Demarco if this is legit, I will pop you! Hence why said website tells you as much. Though I will say, even before a marathon for any given weekend is announced, the schedule is usually blank until a few days before it happens. But that's not the case for this time, which is why I feel so confident about it.

I did bring this up in the general Toonami thread as not to draw TOO MUCH attention to it but I'll just cut and paste my thoughts into this thread.
I'm very intrigued by this decision but there may be some rhyme and reason to it.
Dragon Ball Z Kai and JoJo Part 1 can both end on December 17th if that is the case but that also means Gundam: IBO will end on December 10th leaving 1AM open on December 17th.
Perhaps they'll re-air Children Who Chase Lost Voices on December 17th from 1AM-3:30 where it has a chance to actually do decently or they'll have some other one-off airing on December 17th before breaking two weeks for Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.
There could be any number of reasons why they intend to run the regular line-up that weekend. Finishing Kai before January may be one of them. Last Thanksgiving's Parasyte marathon did fantastic and Halloween did freak'n terrible so perhaps they looked at both nights and decided they should preempt the Saturday before Halloween but not the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It's also the last night of Intruder 3. Last year they were content running Intruder 2 segments on marathon nights but they may figure that people are going to tune in for the final segment of Intruder 3 however they can even if they're out of town. I certainly wont fault them for trying.
If the goal is just to make sure Kai ends before January they could have just ran Kai in front of a marathon, maybe even Kai and Jojo.
I suppose the schedule could still change.
Make sure not to talk about this on social media or otherwise out in the open. I trust AL wont say a peep to Jason until this is made official.

Hmm. Good points all around.
You really seem to want Children Who Chase Lost Voices to get an airing at a reasonable time. I think they'd be more likely to do an encore of it on Christmas Eve, though the idea of playing a movie along with a regular half-hour is pretty tantalizing. Maybe Toonami could get a really cheap contract extension on one of the 2013-14 movies and them both together?
I'd like to believe that this is possible...
12/17/2016:
12:00M: Dragon Ball Z Kai #98 12:30A: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure #09 1:00A: Summer Wars
12/24/2016:
12:00M: Children Who Chase Lost Voices 2:30A: Summer Wars
And then New Year's Eve(-il) could rerun the entirety of JJBA Part 1, with maybe something extra airing at 4:30A if their OCD would want to keep up a 5-hour block.

I just figured they could probably squeeze another airing out of the movie at a more watchable time. I like your idea though playing Summer Wars a 3rd and 4th time probably isn't wise or cost effective even if they get a good deal.

Well, it hasn't aired on Toonami in nearly 2 years. Plus, there's a new Funimation release of it coming soon (as part of The Mamoru Hosoda Collection), so any chance to advertise it should probably be capitalized on.

Was a thread for this really necessary when we were already talking about in the general thread? And like Sketchor said we're trying not to draw attention to this. See I'm not the only one who is wary of Al blabbing about this. Though now that I think of it I bet Paul from the Toonami Faithful Podcast could muck things up, too. sketch Airing Kai and JoJo before a marathon seems like a waste to me. Doubt they would do that. Blatch Your idea to air Summer Wars two weeks in a row would bomb. We already saw how bad the rerun movies did for the second Month of Movies, which lead to the moratorium on movies. We don't want to sabotage the tentative return of movies right after it starts!

I would be surprised to see them lead a marathon with DBZ and/or JoJo but it wouldn't be the first time they lead a rerun marathon with a premiere. However, if both aired it would be the first time they aired a marathon after two premieres.

We don't want to sabotage the tentative return of movies right after it starts! Hence why the second airing is at 2:30. And... really, if I could come up with a better schedule for that day, I might. But Summer Wars is still a good movie.
